Marine captain Niall Cummins told talkSPORT Breakfast (11/01/21 at 7:20 am) that he couldn’t believe how big Joe Hart and Moussa Sissoko were after coming up against the Tottenham duo on Sunday.
Cummins described Tottenham midfielder Sissoko as a ‘mountain’ after his side locked horns against the Premier League outfit in the FA Cup.
Whilst Marine fell to an expected heavy defeat, it was a game to remember for the non-league side and an occasion their players will never forget.
Nonetheless, Cummins shared his reactions to seeing Hart and Sissoko for the first time in the flesh yesterday.
“Before the start of the game, we had the captains meeting with the referee,” said Cummins. “And someone walked behind me and I was thinking ‘I didn’t realise Joe Hart was that tall’. Then you are thinking ‘Oh my lord’.
“Then Sissoko walks past and I am thinking ‘My God, the lads a mountain’.”

Jose Mourinho deserves credit for respecting the competition and putting out a strong side against such a lowly-ranked team.
But that shouldn’t be a surprise because Mourinho is known to take every competition he plays in seriously and the Spurs fans will be hoping that mindset can result in some trophies.
Spurs are in the League Cup final, they are pushing for the title, they are performing well in the Europa League and are now in the hat for the next round of the FA Cup.
