David Ornstein has said on Hayters TV that Arsenal owners, the Kroenkes, are backing Edu and Mikel Arteta in their quest to bring Mykhailo Mudryk to the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window.
The Athletic journalist has claimed that some insiders have told him that Arsenal will get a deal done with Shakhtar Donetsk over the signing of Ukraine international winger Mudryk in January.
Ornstein has added that the Kroenkes themselves are backing Arsenal Sporting Director Edu and manager Mikel Arteta in their pursuit of the youngster.
Mudryk is trying to force a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners are not willing to pay £100 million in transfer fees that Shakhtar want, according to TEAMtalk.
Ornstein said: “There are some people you speak to in the industry who think they will get it done.
“The Kroenkes are backing Edu as Technical Director and Mikel Arteta as manager to make this big final push in the last six months of the season to win the title.”

Mykhailo Mudryk update exciting for Arsenal fans
In our opinion, David Ornstein’s latest update on Mykhailo Mudryk is very exciting for Arsenal fans.
Arsenal are five points clear of second-placed and defending champions Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table at the moment.
A player of Mudryk’s quality and calibre will enhance Arsenal’s chances of winning the title.
And it is really encouraging to see the Arsenal chiefs willing to back Arteta in the January transfer window.
