There is ‘huge interest’ in Liverpool linked winger Isak Bergmann Johannesson, Norrkoping’s chief scout Stig Torbjornsen has told Fotbol Direkt.
Born in Birmingham but made in Scandinavia, this mercurial wing wonder could soon be rewarded for his stellar showings in Sweden with a return to English shores.
Expressen reported in October that Liverpool scouted Johannesson during Norrkoping’s game against AIK, with Torbjornsen admitting that the Reds had been watching.
Yet Liverpool are far from the only European giant interested.
The Iceland U21 international is also a target for Juventus while his boyhood club, Manchester United, have allegedly been watching developments closely.
Torbjornsen confirmed interest from the likes of Liverpool last month and, while he was unwilling to give too much away this time, he did admit that Johannesson is a man in high demand.
“The interest is huge and it is no secret,” the chief scout explained.

“It is clear that this is an extremely interesting player and many (clubs) show a great interest. This happens when a player is at a nice age and plays for a good club.”
Torbjornsen claims that a transfer fee has not yet been decided upon but, according to the report, Norrkoping could demand around 75 million Swedish krone – a fee that translates to around £7 million.
That would see Johannesson replace Alexander Isak, the Real Sociedad striker, as the most expensive export in the history of Sweden’s top flight.
The teenager produced a staggering 11 goals and four assists in just 27 games for Norrkoping during his breakthrough season.
