West Ham United are said to be considering placing Rafael Benitez in charge next season.

West Ham United fans will be hoping to see the image of Rafael Benitez shaking hands with Marko Arnautovic throughout next season.
The London Evening Standard have reported how Benitez has become West Ham’s first choice for the job.
Persuading the Spaniard to leave Newcastle could be tough, but he is said to be interested in moving to the London Stadium, if the right offer comes along.

And West Ham supporters may well see Benitez shaking hands with Arnautovic more often next term, if he does make the switch.
Arnautovic has become one of West Ham’s key players, with his brilliant displays earning him plenty of plaudits this season.
It was actually the Hammers’ previous manager, David Moyes, who managed to get the best out of Arnautovic – and the hope is that whoever takes charge can have a similar impact on his game.

Benitez would demand a similarly high level of work-rate from the Austrian international, if he did make the move from Newcastle.
And West Ham fans appear to be most firmly behind Benitez arriving, out of all the potential candidates to take over from Moyes.
