Tottenham Hotspur were beaten 2-1 by Monaco in Champions League action yesterday evening.
The pain that Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane were feeling as Tottenham Hotspur crashed out of the Champions League last night was very clear at full-time.
Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Monaco after falling well short of their best in France.
Tottenham fans were left fuming with their side’s poor performance in the Champions League this term, and the players were seemingly suffering with similar emotions.
Kane and Lloris were both pictured at the end, with the Spurs pair looking crestfallen at the defeat.


Tottenham barely threatened throughout against Monaco, with their performance falling well short of the standard required.
Spurs fell behind when Djibril Sidibe headed Monaco into the lead, but they did get back into the match through a Harry Kane penalty.
There were hopes that Kane’s goal would spark Spurs into life, but any chance of the North London side picking up the three points was quickly wiped out, as Monaco scored again.
Tottenham now have one game left in the Champions League, which comes against CSKA Moscow next month.
