With the second international break now upon us, it seems a perfect time to assess the Premier League stats so far.

We have already looked at the best and worst teams in regard to the defensive, offensive and passing stats with some surprising results coming to light.

With that in mind, it seems a good time to take a look at which players are dominating the stats in each position.

So starting with the goalkeepers, we took a look at who have posted the highest numbers in the seven Premier League games so far this season.

Tottenham's Hugo Lloris

To make it fair, we only looked at players who had made four appearances or more. Here is what we discovered.

Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton has made the most saves of any ‘keeper with a tally of 28, around 5.4 per game. Just behind him is Sunderland youngster Jordan Pickford, who has made 27 saves so far.

West Ham United’s Adrian and Swansea City’s Lukasz Fabianski sit in third with 25 saves to their names.

It is the West Ham man who has made the most saves from shots in the box (19) while youngster Pickford has stopped the most shots from outside the box (16).

Fabianski is ahead when it comes to punches with eight, although Watford’s Heurelho Gomes is close behind with seven.

Arsenal’s Petr Cech and West Bromwich Albion’s Ben Foster have been the best at claiming high balls with scores of 12 so far, although Gomes has 11 and Everton’s Maarten Stekelenburg has a score of 10.

Finally, in the age of the ball-playing goalkeeper it is Tottenham Hotspur’s Hugo Lloris who dominates as he has enjoyed a passing accuracy of 73%, Liverpool ‘keeper Simon Mignolet is close behind on 70%.
