Speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Michail Antonio has named Allan Saint-Maximin as one of his dream signings for West Ham United.

The striker was hosting the podcast alongside Newcastle’s Callum Wilson, and he was asked which player from the Magpies he’d most like to sign for the Hammers.

Newcastle have some fantastic players in their squad right now such as Sven Botman, Alexander Isak and, of course, Bruno Guimaraes.

However, Antonio has eyed up Saint-Maximin as his dream signing from Newcastle ahead of any of those players, stating that he’s a player who is almost impossible to handle for any defender.

Antonio would love Saint-Maximin

The West Ham star named Saint-Maximin as his dream signing from Newcastle.

“I’m going to pick Saint-Maximin. Saint-Maximin because everyone knows his ability. It is ridiculous to be fair, the guy is a joke, you have to double up on him, maybe even treble,” Antonio said.

One of a kind

It’s not hard to understand why Antonio would love Saint-Maximin at West Ham – he’s a one-of-a-kind player.

Indeed, there’s nobody else in world football quite like Saint-Maximin, and while he’s not necessarily one of the best players in the world, on his day he can be one of the most effective.

Just imagine a front three of Saint-Maximin, Antonio and Jarrod Bowen, that mix of skill, power and efficiency would be absolutely deadly for any defence to come up against.

Unfortunately for West Ham, Saint-Maximin seems to be very much settled at Newcastle and with the Magpies flying at the moment, it’s hard to imagine the Frenchman having any plans of leaving St James’ Park anytime soon.
