Joe Hart, David Luiz and Moussa Sissoko were just some of the big movers, but here are the big ‘winners’ from transfer deadline day…

Once again transfer deadline day provided plenty of action with some huge and unpredictable transfer deals involving several Premier League clubs.
We saw Leicester City and Burnley break their transfer records once again as summer spending surpassed the £1bn mark – here are the five deadline day winners…
1. Stoke City

Deadline day darlings Stoke City where at it again as they strengthened their squad with three loan signings.
Manchester City forward Wilfried Bony, Dutch international defender Bruno Marins Indi and goalkeeper Lee Grant have joined the Potters as they look to get their season up and running.
Bony joined Man City for £28m in 2015 following a successful spell at Swansea City but struggled to make much of an impact at the Etihad – scoring just six league goals.
But now the Ivorian could rejuvenate his career at the Britannia under Mark Hughes.
Martins Indi arrives from Porto on a season long loan and will bring some added competition for a Stoke defence who have conceded six goal in their opening three Premier League matches.
33-year-old goalkeeper Grant has been brought in from Derby as a temporary fix for the Potters goalkeeper problems with Jack Butland out injured and 40-year-old Shay Given as the club’s only other experienced stopper.
The outgoing players were defender Phillipp Wollscheid, who sealed a loan move to Wolfsburg and Spanish forward Joselu moved to Deportivo la Coruna, also on loan.
Overall, it’s been another good and eventful deadline day for Stoke City.
2. Chelsea

Antonio Conte strengthened his Chelsea side even further with two big money defensive signings in Marcos Alonso and the returning David Luiz.
Luiz became the most expensive defender of all time when he left the Blues to join PSG for £50m in 2014 but the 29-year-old Brazilian has now re-signed for a fee in the region of £30m.
The 25-year-old Spaniard Alonso joins from Italian side Fiorentina for £24m following an impressive couple of seasons for the Serie A outfit.
Like Luiz, the former Bolton and Sunderland full-back returns to the Premier League for the first time since 2014.
Spending over £50m on deadline day usually signals panic buying but given Chelsea’s perfect start to the season, it looks as though Conte is just trying to make his defence even more formidable.
3. Bournemouth

If any transfer shows just how far Bournemouth have come and how crazy transfer deadline day can be, it’s Jack Wilshere’s loan move from Arsenal.
Four years ago, Wilshere was seen as one of world football’s most exciting young prospects, meanwhile Bournemouth were near the bottom of League One following a winless start to the season.
How times have changed.
Now the England international is looking to get a good run of games under hit belt for the Cherries in the Premier League.
Not bad for a team who sat at the foot of the football league just a short while ago.
4. Sunderland

It took Sunderland until transfer deadline day to properly wake up and get about their transfer business as they broke their transfer record to sign midfielder Didier Ndong from Lorient.
The £13.6m fee surpasses the Black Cats’ previous record of the £13m they paid for Ghanaian forward Asamoah Gyan in 2010.
They are the 13th Premier League club to break their transfer record this summer upon signing the 22-year-old Gabon international.
David Moyes also managed to strike a deal to bring Yann M’Vila back to the club following the French midfielder’s loan spell at the Stadium of Light last season.
The Sunderland manager wanted to bring M’Villa back straight away but Rubin Kazan’s £7m proved to be too high as the clubs could only settle on a deal for the 26-year-old to join in January.
A loan move for Steven Naismith didn’t come to fruition but a one for Manchester City defender Jason Denayer did as the Belgian international joins for the season.
While the likes of Burnley and Leicester also broke their transfer records, Sunderland’s deadline day in contrast to the rest of their window makes them one of the day’s main winners even if it was just a bit of last minute transfer redemption.
5. Moussa Sissoko/Newcastle United

The only Championship side on this list, Newcastle will be as delighted as Sissoko himself after the midfielder sealed a £30m switch to Tottenham Hotspur.
It was a deal that didn’t look as though it would happen after Spurs initially cooled their interest following the Magpies’ valuation but the North East club stood firm on their price and eventually got rewarded for their resilience.
Sissoko himself had publicly spoken of his desire to leave United on various occasions throughout the transfer window, even stating Tottenham’s rivals Arsenal were: “the club of (his) heart,” in an interview with Foot Mercato.
But the French international has finally managed to get the Champions League club move he so desperately craved as Newcastle pocketed a very healthy profit for an underperforming player who didn’t want to be at the club.
It could prove to be a good piece of business for Tottenham as well though the main winners from this deal are certainly Newcastle and Sissoko.
