Players from Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City all feature in an interesting 23-man squad.

England drew 2-2 with Spain at Wembley this week with a team that consisted of some promising young talent for the future.

England look likely to qualify for the next World Cup in Russia and will have high hopes of doing so again for Qatar in 2022.

But who will make up the England squad?

Using FIFA 17 player database Sofifa (correct as of 16/11/16) here is an England team for the Qatar World Cup in 2022.

To make it easier to compile all players had to be under 30 in 2022 to make the final squad, so apologies to Danny Rose, Jordan Henderson and Joe Hart – who are likely to still be in the hunt.

Here is the 23-man squad, complete with starting XI that FIFA 17 suggests could head to the World Cup in 2022…

Goalkeeper

Jack Butland

Age: 29

FIFA Potential: 89

The Stoke City goalkeeper is currently out with an injury but already has four caps for England. Will be in his prime by 2022 and will surely hope to be England’s number one goalkeeper.

Right-back

Callum Chambers

Age: 27

FIFA Potential: 82

The Arsenal star, who can also play at centre-back, is currently on loan at Middlesbrough and has also already been capped by the senior England team. With Everton’s Mason Holgate as his back-up the pair would also provide extra cover at centre-back.

The Manchester United defender is already a regular pick for the England set-up, when fit. If he can fight off his continued injury problems, then he will surely be in the reckoning.

Centre-back

John Stones

Age: 28

FIFA Potential: 88

Love him or hate him the Manchester City defender is here to stay at the heart of England’s defence. Hopefully in six years he can eradicate some of his less admirable tendencies.

The West Ham teen is clearly a top talent and is being tipped for England greatness. Him at the back with John Stones could certainly be a manager’s dream in years to come.

Defensive-midfielder

Eric Dier

Age: 28

FIFA Potential: 85

The Tottenham stalwart is looking a key member of the England team for years to come. Making the holding position his own and improving all the time.

Everton’s young maestro may be struggling at present but he is still a feared player for the future and forms a midfield already well capped at international level.

Striker

Harry Kane

The fellow highest rated player along with Spurs team-mate Dele Alli. Many believe Kane can go on to become England’s record goal-scorer at international level and he will surely get chances to put his woeful Euro 2016 behind him.
