Reported Liverpool target Karim Adeyemi has been the subject of a formal bid from FC Barcelona this week. However, Borussia Dortmund have reportedly submitted a better offer for the teenager.
According to Sky Sports Germany, Adeyemi, who Christian Falk reported is keen on a move to Liverpool, has had an offer from Barcelona in the past few days, with Dortmund also making a bid for the striker.
As per the report, Barcelona made a €40m (£34m) bid for the attacker, with Dortmund making a larger offer if this new update is to be believed. Adeyemi is likely to leave Austria in January, with multiple sides keen on the forward.
Indeed, Liverpool have long been rumoured as a club keen to sign Adeyemi. But as we approach the winter transfer window, it appears Barcelona and Dortmund will be the two sides duking it out for the Germany international.
With £34m offers already on the table, both European clubs seem eager to secure Adeyemi before January rolls around, and Barcelona are on the back foot with Dortmund offering a better financial package.
With Liverpool seemingly out of the race, Barcelona fans have taken to social media to react to the news. However, supporters are fuming that Dortmund have reportedly made a better offer.
