Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to make a claim regarding Diogo Jota following Wolves’ 4-0 defeat to West Ham on Sunday evening.
It was the Midlands-based outfit’s second game since losing the Portugal international to Liverpool in a deal worth £41 million.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men lost their first match without the 23-year-old by three goals to one against Manchester City, but their second game without the attacker was even worse.
Wolves shipped four goals against a Hammers side who had lost their first two games of the season, and didn’t even have boss David Moyes on the touchline as he recovers from Coronavirus.
It’s pretty easy to put two and two together and say Jota’s departure was the catalyst for such a defeat, but in truth, Wolves weren’t at it all over the field.

Of course, a man who scored 16 goals last season is always going to be a big loss.
However, Nuno’s men won their first game of the season against Sheffield United without bringing the ex-Atletico Madrid forward off the bench, so the Liverpool fans’ logic is flawed somewhat.

Of course, they may just be having a bit of fun at the end of the day.
Let’s see what they’ve been saying after West Ham’s resounding win…
