Could young West Ham United players get the chance to impress this season?
West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has suggested on social networking site Twitter that young players will get their chances for the first team this season.
Gold has stated that when West Ham manager Slaven Bilic thinks that the time is right, he will throw the youngsters into the first team.

West Ham are a massive club and have lofty ambitions. The signings of big-name players such as Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic in the summer transfer window have only increased pressure on manager Bilic to be successful this season.
However, from Gold’s comments, it seems that the London club are still committed to giving young and talented players chances.
Over the years, the Hammers have earned the reputation of promoting young players from their academy, and the co-chairman’s comments will please the fans.
After all, the London Stadium faithful would love to see an academy graduate break into the first team this season and establish himself as a key player.
West Ham endured a disappointing season in 2016-17, and the Hammers will hope to challenge for a top-eight finish in the Premier League this term.
