Crystal Palace’s Wayne Hennessey
After the arrival of French goalkeeper, Steve Mandanda, from Ligue 1 giant Marseille, Wayne Hennessey’s time at Palace appear to be numbered. However, a recent injury to Palace’s new keeper has seen Hennessey pull together a string of games, though his performances have got many Palace fans wishing for Mandanda’s swift return. 2. Frazier Campbell (31%)
Crystal Palace’s Fraizer Campbell
Many Palace fans were dismayed when they saw Dwight Gayle, a popular forward at the club, leave Selhurst Park instead of the former Hull City forward, Frazier Campbell, over the summer. Since his move to Newcastle, Gayle hasn’t been able to stop scoring, whereas Campbell’s goal scoring record hasn’t helped force him into the a starting position, as he now competes with Christian Benteke, Loic Remy and Conor Wickham. With 31% of the vote, it appears Campbell’s exit wouldn’t bother Palace fans too much.
1. Andros Townsend (41%)
Crystal Palace’s Andros Townsend
After a big money move from Newcastle United in the summer, Andros Townsend has failed to recreate the fine form he showed in his final few months for the Magpies, and after picking up 41% of the vote, he looks like Palace fans’ favourite for the exit door. With reports in The Sun linking Townsend with a sensational return to his former club, could the former England winger’s time with the Eagles already be over? Or will Sam Allardyce look to keep hold of the former England international as he battles to fight the drop?
