Tottenham should consider throwing Christian Eriksen into the mix.

Tottenham have been linked with a transfer record smashing move to sign Paulo Dybala.

The Mail report it would cost Tottenham in the region of £80 million to sign the Argentine.

There is a cheaper way, which would appeal much more to Juventus.

That would be for Tottenham to sign Dybala in a direct swap for Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen is a player who may find his minutes impacted by Dybala’s arrival, and he has only one year left on his contract.

That’s a situation Tottenham need to address, and Juventus are already touted as admirers, via Football Italia.

The Express reported last month that Juventus are one of the clubs Eriksen would be open to joining.

Juventus’ desire to strengthen elsewhere has prevented them from paying up, spending big on defender Matthijs De Ligt.

If they sold Dybala, they would require a replacement, and who better than Eriksen?

Spurs could tie both of these up with one deal, which need not be quite a direct swap, but Eriksen plus £10-20 mlllion for Dybala.

This would certainly be the cheapest and easier way for Spurs to get Dybala, and would test how much they really want him.
