Roy Keane warned reported Liverpool target, Jadon Sancho, that he ‘needs to do a little bit more’ if he is to break into England’s starting XI, as he told ITV Sport.

The 21-year-old will be hoping to be named in England’s starting XI for their Euro 2020 opener against Croatia this Sunday.

If Sancho is able to light up the Euros then interest in his services this summer might just increase further, with Liverpool being one of the clubs looking at his talents, according to the German outlet, Bild.

And Keane shared, following England’s recent friendly encounter, where the Liverpool-linked target is going wrong.

“Well, at the moment, the big question mark about any attacking player is the end product,” said Keane. “You saw some nice touches. We obviously know his quality.

“But the end product has to be better. It comes down to his decision-making. But he has shown nice touches.

“He needs to do a little bit more if he is going to force his way into England’s starting XI.

“When he is in wide positions, his job is to get past people. Maybe he’s not been quite at the races, on that side of it, but end product he just hasn’t done enough.”

Sancho has made the right calls during the early years of his career, with the biggest one being leaving Manchester City for Dortmund as a teenager.

The results and performances are there for all to see since that bold move, but this next step is now even more important.

He has to pick a team that has set the platform to win trophies and someone who is willing to make him a key figure in their side.

And that answer may well just be staying at Dortmund and continuing to build his career because it has sky-rocketed in recent years.
