Speaking to the Design Museum to celebrate the launch of its new exhibition, Football: Designing the Beautiful Game, Ray Parlour has been chatting about the greatest Premier League strikers of all-time.

Parlour has played with and against some of the Premier League’s sharpest ever finishers. From Ian Wright and Denis Bergkamp, to Alan Shearer and Andy Cole, Parlour has played alongside the best of the best.

However, according to the former Gunners midfielder. The greatest Premier League forward of all-time is Thierry Henry, and he says that he’d love to see the Frenchman in this current Arsenal team.

What’s been said?

Parlour spoke about Henry.

“The Premier League is blessed with many great strikers and while Alan Shearer and Harry Kane might end their careers at the top of the charts, I would always be a little biased and say that Thierry Henry is the best striker we’ve ever seen in England because I know what he was capable of in training day. He really was a joy to watch and I would love to see him in the current Arsenal team today too,” Parlour said.

Imagine

Just imagine if this Arsenal team had a prime Henry leading the line, they’d probably be challenging for the Premier League title.

Henry may be one of the best finishers in Premier League history, but he’s also one of the league’s great playmakers, and in a frontline including Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, Henry would wreak havoc.

Sadly, the 44-year-old is long retired, but the idea of him jumping in a time machine and playing for this team is utterly mouth-watering.
