Jurgen Klopp has heralded the return of Liverpool attacker Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Switzerland international has only managed 51 minutes of Premier League action this season due to injury.
But he made his comeback in the 0-0 draw with Newcastle United earlier this week, coming on as a 92nd-minute substitute.
It was also Thiago Alcantara’s comeback game and that was the bigger headline in comparison to Shaqiri’s return.
And the Liverpool boss has revealed to the club’s official website that the same squad will travel to Southampton tomorrow.
He said: “Shaq is back and that’s, by the way, the best news – the boys are back and, as far as I know in the moment, nobody got injured, which is a very important thing.
“That means we can probably go with the same squad to Southampton.”
Shaqiri is a very talented player, but how Liverpool fans would love to see Thiago start.
The Reds’ faithful have been starved of seeing the former Barcelona midfielder since October, due to that rash challenge from Richarlison in the draw away to Everton.
But he’s a class act and Liverpool’s chances of beating Southampton tomorrow night go up if the Spain international is in the first XI.
