Newcastle United fans have already been discussing potential managers, as their takeover edges closer to completion.

All change at Newcastle?

The Times say that Newcastle’s new owners could be in place before the weekend, in what looks like a hugely exciting time at St. James’ Park.

The Daily Express already claim that PIF are planning on changing managers at Newcastle, with Steve Bruce knowing that his time is up.

Given the level of wealth Newcastle’s potential owners have, Magpies fans are confident that no manager is off limit.

And Antonio Conte is the name on many Newcastle fans’ lips, as they eye up a replacement for Bruce.

Conte to Newcastle?

If Newcastle were to bring in Conte, it could be a major upgrade on their current manager.

Conte won the league title with Inter Milan last season and he also has lifted the Premier League trophy, after winning it during his time at Chelsea.

Conte was actually linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job in the summer, but no deal could be agreed due to the Italian’s transfer demands.

Newcastle would, therefore, likely have to convince Conte that their project was worth running.

But with a big increase in transfer funds predicted to be available, the 52-year-old may well be tempted with a move to Tyneside.
