The Rangers striker has proven that he is one of the league’s finest marksmen this season.

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard spoke to reporters last night about Alfredo Morelos’s quality, and suggested that the Colombian has been the best striker in the league this season by a country mile, as quoted by the Herald.
The 22-year-old has been in excellent form for the Gers this season, chipping in with an impressive 20 goals and 10 assists in 34 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Rangers currently sit in second position in the Scottish Premiership table, level on points with league leaders Celtic, and the Ibrox faithful can be forgiven for dreaming that this year could yield their first top flight title since 2011.
Should Morelos continue his fine form between now and the end of the season, however, they will have every chance of doing just that.
Gerrard spoke to reporters last night, and offered high words of praise for the striker, highlighting how the fact that he is targeted so regularly by opposing teams proves how dangerous he is, as quoted by the Herald:

“Everyone singles out Alfredo – he’s a target for everyone. But we see it as a compliment because he’s a terrific player. In the first half of the season he scored 20 goals. He’s been the best striker in the league by a country mile so he should see his treatment as a compliment -I would if I was him.”
Rangers are not in action again until January 18th, and Gerrard will be hoping that Morelos returns full of renewed energy and vigour, as the former Liverpool and England skipper looks to guide his side to glory this season.
