Darren Bent has claimed that rumoured Tottenham target, Adama Traore, ‘frustrates me the most’ because he doesn’t make best use of his attributes, as he told talkSPORT.

The Wolves winger is best famed for the speed and power which he possesses, unfortunately for him, he can’t match that with precision, calmness, vision or end product.

Despite that, Traore is still one of the most frightening players in the Premier League and a performer that is still admired by many.

When Antonio Conte was at Chelsea, he wanted to sign the Spain international, and now he is in Tottenham colours, that appreciation has continued, as reported by the Telegraph.

Whilst Traore is famed for his pace and power, Conte is known to get the absolute best out of his players, even those not fancied by others.

And former Spurs striker Bent thinks if Traore can sort out what he does in the final third, then he would be some player.

“Traore is the one who frustrates me more than any other player out there,” said Bent.

“The attributes that he has, the pace, which is undeniable. The power, you can’t tackle him.

“If he could just sort out the last little bit, the decision-making or the shot at goal, the cross or the finish.

“There have been times this season, certainly early on in the season, where he has chances to win those games and they were guild-edge chances. He doesn’t hit the target. He puts it wide.”

During his career, Traore has worked under coaches that demand a lot from him without the ball, such as Nuno Espirito Santo and Tony Pulis.

It’s not a lack of effort that is a problem for him, but where his strength is also his weakness.

Traore can have bad touch, make something simple look difficult, not make the right decision, let himself down with a poor pass, cross or finish.

But what will always get him out of those are his strongest qualities, that bad touch will be covered up by his speed.

If he puts in a poor cross, he will continue to march down the wing and beat opponent after opponent and look a threat, even though his end qualities are proving to be a problem.

Whilst he remains a frustrating player, there is no doubt that he is still one of the most watchable players in England’s top-flight.
