That’s exactly the situation facing West Ham at present, with Sam Allardyce’s men on a torrid run of form. Since late January, the Hammers have lost to Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal and drawn with Manchester United, Southampton and Tottenham.
Some of those games produced strong showings from the east London side. Just not results. And one particular statistic makes for a damning indictment of West Ham’s current form.

Indeed, since that game with Liverpool that started West Ham’s rut, Allardyce’s men are 19th in the table based on the points they have accumulated over the period. That’s relegation form only Leicester have managed to beat. Is time up for Big Sam?
The 60-year-old’s contract is up at the end of the season and, considering the Hammers’ dismal run, you have to wonder if Davids Gold and Sullivan have had enough.
