Brazil legend Kaka has praised winger Lucas Moura after he played his final home game for Tottenham Hotspur.

The 30-year-old was in tears after the full-time whistle on Saturday, not because Tottenham were beaten again, this time against Brentford, but because his time in north London is now coming to an end.

Tottenham and Lucas Moura have decided against extending his stay, with Kaka sending his ‘congratulations’ to the player on his Instagram and adding ‘May God bless the adventures to come’.

Despite taking a 1-0 lead, through none other than Harry Kane, Spurs still managed to let that slip and leave empty-handed.

From Antonio Conte to Ryan Mason, it’s going to take serious work for someone to sort the mess out at Tottenham – Arne Slot has been mentioned.

But Tottenham’s final home game of the 2022/23 season was about Moura, with Kaka sending this message to the £23 million player (BBC Sport).

“Congratulations, my brother, for this stage of your professional life,” said Kaka. “May God bless the adventures to come.”

WHO WILL MOURA JOIN NEXT?

Unless results go for Tottenham, and they beat relegation-threatened Leeds United on the final day of the season, then Europe might well be out of the window for the club for next season.

The same could be said for Moura and his next possible destination.

Could he join another Premier League team? He still has the qualities, but not for any of the teams in Europe. Either way, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a move to Italy of some sort for the ball-carrying expert.
