Gianfranco Zola has raved about Chelsea star Christian Pulisic on Sky Sports Premier League (5:09pm, April 24, 2021) amid speculation that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool want to sign him.

The former Chelsea star has highlighted the attributes of the USA international, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.

The Daily Mail reported in March that Liverpool are interested in signing the 22-year-old from Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer of 2021.

Zola said about Pulisic on Sky Sports Premier League (5:09pm, April 24, 2021): “Christian last year was exceptional for the club. He was the difference so many times.

“He has the ability, the pace to be one of those players that can really make a difference between drawing a game and winning it and between losing a game and winning it. He physically looks fit now.”

Could Christian Pulisic to Liverpool happen?

Pulisic has not had the best of times at Chelsea this season, but the American is starting to play regularly and is showing what he can do.

Chelsea do not have any reason to sell the youngster. After all, the Blues are a massive club and are wealthy.

It could come down to what Pulisic wants to do. Liverpool are not having a great season and manager Jurgen Klopp could decide to freshen up his attacking unit.

The former Borussia Dortmund star could flourish at Anfield, but Liverpool would have to pay a lot for him.

According to WhoScored, the American has made 14 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process.

The youngster had injury problems last season, but the attacker still managed to score nine goals and provided four assists in 19 league starts for the Blues, according to WhoScored.
