Galatasaray are interested in signing Vincent Janssen from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
It has been reported that the Turkish giants are willing to pay as much as £15 million in order to secure the services of the 22-year-old striker.
Tottenham, though, according to the report, would be unwilling to sell the Netherlands international at a loss, as they paid £17m to AZ in the summer of 2016 in order to secure his services.
While one can understand why Spurs would not want to part company with Janssen at a loss, they should take a hit of £2m.
The Dutchman is a talented and promising young striker, but if Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino does not want him in the team, then the North London outfit should sell him.
A sum of £15m sounds reasonable enough, and Tottenham should accept the offer. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy could then invest in signing a proven goalscorer or spend it however Pochettino wants.
For a massive club like Tottenham, a £2m loss on a struggling player is not big, especially as it could pay off in the long term if they are able to sign the right replacement.
