Speaking on the House of Champions Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared a transfer update about Liverpool.
The Reds haven’t gotten off to the best of starts this season, and many fans have been hoping that there will be a few new faces coming into Anfield in January to freshen things up.
Such fans’ wishes may come true as Romano says that the Reds are open to adding new players to their squad in January due to the injury crisis they’re currently facing.

Liverpool open to additions
Romano shared what he knows about the Reds.
“I would keep it open for Liverpool, there are too many injuries and it’s a complicated situation with Arthur Melo, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota. That’s why I am told they are open in that they are open inthis moment. Liverpool only sign players when they are 100 per cent convinced it is something for the long-term, so that’s why we have to wait and see the opportunities that come onto the market. The World Cup will be important to see if Liverpool have some fresh ideas,” Romano said.
A new winger?
With both Jota and Diaz out, it’s logical to think that Liverpool would be in the market for a new winger in January.
Indeed, with the likes of Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino and Sadio Mane leaving in the summer, Liverpool are a little bit lighter in the attack than they once were, and with Diaz and Jota sidelined, they could do with some reinforcements.
There have been some links to Wilfried Zaha in recent days, so that could be one to keep an eye on, but as ever with the Reds, it’s very difficult to predict what they’re going to do in the transfer window.
