Jermaine Beckford has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United’s defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday evening.

Leeds suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of Wolves at Elland Road in the Premier League.

Raul Jimenez scored the only goal of the match on 70 minutes when his shot on goal was deflected in by Kalvin Phillips.

Former Leeds striker Beckford was following the match, and while he was impressed with both the teams, he felt that an incident involving Jimenez late in the game should have been reviewed by VAR.

As reported by talkSPORT, the Mexico international striker kicked out at Robin Koch after being brought down by the Leeds defender, but he was not punished.

Stats

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Elland Road on Monday evening, hosts Leeds had 68% of the possession, took 13 shots of which two were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Wolves had 32% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.

The result means that Leeds are now 10th in the Premier League table, while Wolves currently find themselves two points ahead of them in sixth.
