Speaking on the LadBible YouTube channel, Emile Heskey has been full of praise for Harry Kane.
The former Liverpool striker spoke highly of Kane as he was previewing England’s chances in the World Cup, stating that the Spurs star is the Three Lions’ main attacking threat.
However, aside from the fact Kane is a phenomenal player, Heskey praised Kane for growing to be an unselfish player, praising his ability as a captain, stating that most strikers are usually only focused on their own performances.

Heskey hails Kane
“Obviously the main one is Harry. A phenomenal player. A great goalscorer and wants to score goals. He isn’t content with one, he wants three, four or five,” Heskey said.
“The only thing I will say is that he’s a captain. Forwards only focus on themselves, but captains need to focus on everyone else and everything else. I think he’s done really well on that side of it. He gets the goals and is still that player for the squad.
“I was lucky enough to play with Tony Adams and Shearer as captains, and they don’t think of themselves, just everyone else and that’s tough when you’re a striker.”
Mature
Kane has become more unselfish the more mature he has become.
At the beginning of his career, Kane was exactly what Heskey described, a striker who was all about himself and his goalscoring.
Many will remember the time he swore on his own daughter’s life that he got a touch on a cross in order to pump up his stats in the race for the Golden Boot, but nowadays, Kane would never do such a thing.
Now he’s a true leader and a true team player, and that’s what makes him one of the best captains England have had.
