Alan Curbishley told Optus Sport on Premier League Productions that Jesse Lingard has been a ‘revelation’ for West Ham.
The former Hammers boss thinks Lingard has joined the London side as an ‘angry’ player because he wasn’t getting a shot at Manchester United.
Lingard’s game time went downhill at Old Trafford this season, and even during the previous campaigns, and he just needed picking up once more.
Well, David Moyes was the one to offer him a helping hand and Lingard has rewarded the Scotsman and the Hammers with a string of top performances.
“He has been a revelation,” said Curbishley. “And as I said earlier, he has come into the West Ham side angry because he cannot get into the team at Old Trafford.
“He has also come in hungry and that’s the sort of player you want.”

Over the weekend, Lingard worked his magic once more as he came back to haunt Arsenal at the London Stadium.
Arsenal fans have been used to Lingard dancing on their Emirates turf whilst wearing a Manchester United top.
But after his thumping effort during the 3-3 draw on Sunday, this time he was dancing away in Claret & Blue colours.
