Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele will play no part in the club’s last two Premier League games of the season.

The France international picked up a training-ground knock on Monday and it was serious enough to rule him out of last night’s win at Newcastle United.

Tottenham fans have barely seen the former Lyon star since football resumed last month, with Ndombele managing only 63 minutes in total.

Fans of the North London club won’t be seeing him again this season after Mourinho ruled him out – and some believe that they won’t see him in their shirt again.

Ndombele has been heavily linked with a move away from the Lilywhites in recent weeks and months.

And here’s how the supporters reacted to this injury on Twitter:

Honestly, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if this was the end of Ndombele at Tottenham.

It didn’t click for him under Mauricio Pochettino and it definitely isn’t working under Mourinho who, for whatever reason, hasn’t been using him.

There seems to be tension there and with the transfer window almost open, Spurs could find themselves in a difficult position.
