Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced by their club that Kiko Casilla has gone out on loan for the upcoming season.
Leeds fans were rather happy to see that the Spaniard wasn’t going to be spending this season at Elland Road, and it’s not hard to understand why.
As you can imagine, the former Real Madrid man was on big wages at Leeds, and the reality is that he wasn’t needed due to the fact that Illan Meslier has taken his spot as the number one at Elland Road.
Casilla lost his confidence somewhere along the way at Leeds, making error after error in the Whites’ promotion campaign and once again coming unstuck last season when called upon against Crawley.
The fanbase were happy to see them free up a bit of space on their wage bill, and we can only hope that this move facilitates a few more new additions for the Yorkshire club.
