Arsenal fans may not agree with me, but I personally do not think that Gabriel Jesus is all that.
If Gabriel Jesus was really that good, then Manchester City would not have sold him.
City manager Pep Guardiola would have found a way to play Jesus alongside Erling Haaland in the starting lineup.
Just look at how Julian Alvarez and Haaland are starting matches together for the defending Premier League champions.
Arsenal need a better striker than Gabriel Jesus
Now, I am not saying that Arsenal striker Jesus is not a good player.
I just do not think that the Brazil international is the kind of number 9 that will win you major trophies like the Premier League.
Jesus is simply not clinical enough and does not score enough goals.
Yes, the 26-year-old is very good at pressing and putting the opposition goalkeeper and defenders under pressure, but he is a ‘striker’.
Jesus will be judged on the goals that he scored.
And, he does not find the back of the net enough.
Alan Shearer on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus v Chelsea
Against Chelsea in the London derby on Saturday evening, Jesus had a poor game.
Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer noted one particular instance in the match when Jesus could not even take his shot properly.
The ball fell to Jesus just outside the Chelsea penalty box.
The former City striker tried to shoot on goal first time.
Jesus simply could not connect with the ball properly.

Shearer said on Match of the Day on BBC One: “Jesus had an effort here.
“I mean, that’s so bad you just wouldn’t believe it.”
Gabriel Jesus has made four starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
The Brazilian has scored one goal in those games.
The striker has scored two goals in two UEFA Champions League appearances for the North London club this campaign.
Jesus has made 192 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The former City player has scored 70 goals and given 35 assists in those games.
Against Chelsea, Jesus worked hard and pressed, but he could not really test Robert Sanchez.
The Brazilian took three shots but none of them was on target, had a pass accuracy of 71.4%, won two headers, took 25 touches, and made one tackle and one interception.
