Daniel Levy has reportedly made it ‘almost impossible’ for Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
According to The Sun, Spurs have placed a £175 million price-tag on the 27-year-old and Levy is refusing to sell to a Premier League rival.
That means unless one of the cash-strapped European giants like Barcelona or Real Madrid cough up a massive sum of money, Kane won’t be leaving Tottenham.
And although this seems like good news, some fans of the North London club aren’t exactly jumping for joy.
That’s because Kane, who’s reportedly accepted the situation in North London, has been one of the world’s best players for the past seven years and the biggest trophy he can possibly win this season is a Carabao Cup – and even then, the final is against run-away Premier League leaders Manchester City.
The striker, who’s 52 goals away from being the Lilywhites’ all-time record scorer, is a product of the club’s academy and although many will love the prospect of him remaining at Tottenham for the long term, other fans have afforded him a degree of sympathy if he is staying against his own wishes
Here’s how some supporters reacted to The Sun’s report:
