Don Hutchison says Ivan Toney is playing at the ‘very top of his game’ after the Brentford striker scored a hat-trick against Leeds United.
The England international hopeful was compared to Cristiano Ronaldo by Hutchison for his stunning one-step free-kick against Jesse Marsch’s side.
That’s five Premier League goals for the season for Toney, who was linked with Leeds in the summer, but now he is hoping his performances for the Bees earn him an England call.

A number of English strikers Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Callum Wilson are out injured, so it does push Toney up the list in regards to him possibly getting selected.
Leeds hitman Patrick Bamford is another who has tasted international football, after a successful debut campaign for the Whites in the Premier League, but he has been injured for most parts since then.
Either way, Hutchison raved about Toney’s recent display and how the confident forward is just raising his game by the week, as he told Premier League Productions.
“I think he plays the game as he sees it,” said Hutchison. “He’s aggressive, big and can handle the ball. And also knows where the back of the net is.
“I think what he has, which you can’t measure, is confidence. His technique from the penalty spot is amazing. We didn’t know he had the free-kick in his locker, but how about the technique? That’s Ronaldo.
“He’s a striker who is at the very, very top of his game.”

WHO WILL GET PICKED BEHIND HARRY KANE?
The Tottenham striker is going to be the main man for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, but who will join him on the plane?
At Euro 2020, Southgate selected one bonafide striker behind his captain and that was Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
But he has since been injured and it’s very unlikely he will be heading to Qatar, so that opens the door for a Tammy Abraham, Toney and Ollie Watkins – all current fit and firing strikers – to earn that golden selection.
