Samuel Grandsir may be on his way to Burnley this summer with the Monaco winger’s agent telling Get Football News France that a move to Turf Moor is ‘possible’.

A speedy forward who has been on the radar of many a Premier League club since bursting onto the scene with Troyes, it seems that the 23-year-old could finally be packing his bags and heading across the Channel in the next few weeks.

GFFN reported that Burnley are interested in dressing Grandsir up in claret and blue after an impressive five-goal season on loan at Stade Brest.

And speaking amid growing speculation, Badou Sambague has all-but confirmed that the rumours are true.

“That’s possible,” the agent said when asked if Grandsir could join Burnley. “But (he could also sign for clubs) higher up the table.

“He had a very good time at Brest so, for the moment, nothing is closed. Now, he is an AS Monaco player and from there we will see how things develop. He has interest on the other side of the Channel – we will see what that brings.”

A right winger who can also play on the left, it remains to be seen whether a move for Grandsir is tied to the future of Burnley’s much-admired academy graduate Dwight McNeil.

The England U21 international is a man in demand after a superb 18 months under Sean Dyche. The Mail have suggested that Manchester United could make him Rochdale’s answer to Paul Pogba by re-signing a player they once lost for free.
