Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart has told the Tottenham Hotspur fans that he went to Spurs to play regularly, as quoted in The Scottish Sun.
What’s the story?
Hart joined Tottenham in the summer of 2020 on a free transfer after leaving Burnley.
The former Manchester City goalkeeper did not make a single appearance in the Premier League for Spurs last season.
The 34-year-old made six appearances in the Europa League for Tottenham.
Hart joined Celtic from Spurs in the summer transfer window.
The Hoops paid Spurs £1 million in transfer fee, according to The London Evening Standard.
Hart is a regular for Celtic now, playing eight times in the Scottish Premiership and thrice in the Europa League so far this season.

What Joe Hart has said
Former Burnley goalkeeper Hart has said that he did not go to Spurs to be a back-up, but to play.
Hart told The Scottish Sun: “I wouldn’t even consider winding down, I don’t know why I would. I don’t see an end to my footballing career.
“I’m physically very capable and mentally very capable. I feel like I’m more than good enough to be playing at this level.
“Even at Spurs, to the untrained eye that was me going to play back-up, but that’s not why I went there. I went there for different reasons with different conversations making my decision.”

Flourishing at Celtic
Hart seems to be enjoying his football at Celtic and is playing regularly.
The 34-year-old is one of the first names on manager Ange Postecoglou’s teamsheet.
In our view, Hart did the right thing in leaving Tottenham for Celtic.
Despite being 34, the Englishman has a lot to offer.
Celtic are a better team with Hart in it.
