‘That’s not fun’: Alexander-Arnold doesn’t like playing against Liverpool 28-year-old in training

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has told iNews that he does not like playing against Sadio Mane in training.

The England international defender has raved about the Liverpool front-three of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mane.

The 22-year-old has hailed the connection between the trio, and he has added that in training he does not like facing Mane because the 28-year-old forward is very quick.

The youngster told told iNews: “Unbelievable, the way that they are, the connection they have is unreal. From time to time I have to play against them in training. As a right back I have to face Sadio. He’s rapid. That’s not fun.”

World-class footballer

Mane has been on the books of Liverpool since 2016 and has been established himself as one of the best players in the team.

The Senegal international forward scores goals, creates chances for his teammates, is a constant problem for the opposition defences, is very fast, and is full of tricks.

According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old has scored four goals and provided one assist in eight Premier League games and has scored one goal and provided one assist in four Champions League matches so far this season.

During the 2019-20 campaign, Mane scored 18 goals and provided seven assists in the league and scored two goals and gave one assist in the Champions League, according to WhoScored.
