‘That’s me done’: Some Spurs fans react to who has reportedly applied for Tottenham job

Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to rumours that ex-Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri, has applied for the vacant role in North London.

90 Min have reported that Sarri has applied for the Spurs job, although there is no indication that he will be heading towards Hotspur Way.

The last thing Tottenham fans will want is another ex-Chelsea manager walking the touchline at Spurs after Andres Villas-Boas and Jose Mourinho’s ill-fated reigns.

But what will be music to Tottenham fans ears is that ESPN report that Sarri could be heading to Roma. 

If Tottenham can continue to win then it will paper over the cracks of how Daniel Levy has dealt with the managerial situation at the club.

Sacking Mourinho days before the League Cup final was odd and then replacing him with a 29-year-old, Ryan Mason, is a pretty big risk.

And whilst Spurs have won both of Mason’s Premier League matches, with no room for slip-ups now, one defeat could change that mood pretty quickly.

Whilst Sarri won the Europa League at Stamford Bridge, he wasn’t deemed good enough by Chelsea, so if Spurs have aspirations to compete at the top then that rumoured application should be thrown straight into the bin.
