Ian Wright has stated there ‘only a few players’, who when they are going through on goal, that he will back to score, as he named Tottenham’s Harry Kane as one of them, whilst speaking to Premier League Productions.

The TV pundit was making reference to Kane’s goal during Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday night.

Rodrigo Bentancur was the man to put Kane through and the Englishman didn’t hesitate in firing the ball past Robert Sanchez, with the Brighton keeper not even bothering to move.

It was also a record-breaking goal from the Tottenham hitman because that was his 95th goal away from home – surpassing Wayne Rooney’s record on the road since 1992.

Nonetheless, this is what Wright had to say about Kane tonight and his ‘quality’ finish at the Amex Stadium.

“That’s just quality,” said Wright. “Really good. There are only a few players, who when they go through, you think he is definitely scoring.

“When he goes through like that, it was a fantastic finish.”

Those three points have kept Tottenham in the race to secure Champions League football at the end of the season.

In truth, at the rate Spurs are going at, win, lose, win, lose, win… They are probably due to lose their weekend encounter.

But that’s the last thing they want because it’s a home tie against their neighbours and Champions League-chasing rivals, West Ham United.

As for Kane, he just continues to break records and it won’t be too long before he hits 100 league goals on the road alone, which is just truly astonishing.
