Thierry Henry has claimed that West Ham flop, Sebastien Haller, is now finding life ‘easy’ at Ajax, as he told CBS Sports (23/02/22 at 7:35 pm).
The Premier League legend shared that Ajax playing with wingers and the Dutch side dominating games has allowed Haller to thrive in Holland.
During the January transfer window of 2021, Haller left Premier League shores after scoring 14 goals in 54 West Ham appearances.
Added with that, he managed 10 during his 48 Premier League matches to further indicate the troubles he went through.
But, it’s a different story for Haller now, not only in the Eredivisie, but in the Champions League also, as Henry shared why he is playing so well.
“Since Haller is there, if you put the ball into the box, he will be there,” said Henry. “I know a lot of the goals are tap-ins.
“But this is what he likes, he likes the ball into the box. When he has wingers and his team dominates.
“He doesn’t even celebrate, that’s how easy it is for him. He’s the type of player that likes wingers and balls into the box.”
Who would have thought it? Haller currently leading the Champions League goalscoring charts in 2022.
