Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter think that Jose Mourinho won’t be happy with Moussa Sissoko’s latest comments.
Sissoko has been something of a squad player at Spurs this season following Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s arrival and Tanguy Ndombele’s emergence as a major asset for Mourinho.
The France international also did himself no favours in his pursuit of more football with a disappointing display in Spurs’ recent defeat by Chelsea in North London.
The former Newcastle United star looked far more formidable under Mauricio Pochettino than the Portuguese, who replaced his South American counterpart in November of 2019.
And Sissoko – a £30 million signing from the Magpies back in 2016 – has been praising his former manager, claiming that the Lilywhites had much more of the ball under his watch.
He said to Football London: “He’s [Pochettino] a very good coach. I learned a lot with him in this club, he did a good job here,” he said. “We have a different style of play compared to previous years. Mourinho has established a style of play where you leave possession. With Pochettino, we had the ball more often.”
And some Tottenham fans believe that Sissoko’s comments aren’t very flattering toward Mourinho.
