Some Newcastle United fans on Twitter are worried about the future of Miguel Almiron after his latest comments.
Almiron has said that he wants to play for a team that fights more, but the attacking midfielder has added that he is happy at Newcastle.
Almiron told ABC Cardinal 730AM, as translated by The Chronicle: “I would like to play in a team that fights more. Here I am happy and I feel comfortable.”
Earlier this season, the Paraguay international’s agent claimed interest from Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan and hinted at an exit from the Magpies, as reported by The Chronicle.
Newcastle are struggling at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season.
If the Magpies are not in the Premier League next season, then there is a very good chance that Almiron will not be at St. James’ Park.

After all, the former Atlanta United star is 27 years of age now and is at his peak, and remaining in the Premier League or playing in a top league in mainland Europe would be more appealing than grinding it out in the second tier of English football.
According to WhoScored, Almiron has scored four goals and provided one assist in 19 Premier League games for Newcastle so far this season.
Some Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Almiron and are worried that he could leave.
