West Ham fans on Twitter are pretty annoyed that there seems to be an issue with Vladimir Coufal’s contract.
Sky Sports report that the 28-year-old is becoming ‘increasingly frustrated’ and ‘let down’ by West Ham’s failure to meet his contract expectations.
Coufal was a standout performer for West Ham last season as they secured Europa League football under the guidance of David Moyes.
And this latest rumour isn’t sitting down well with the West Ham faithful.
Things may well be rosy in the East London garden out on the pitch, but it seems as though the fans still aren’t seeing eye-to-eye with their owners away from it.
Moyes punched well above West Ham’s weight last season by guiding them to a top-six finish, but there is now worry that they won’t be able to maintain that ahead of the new season.
It doesn’t help the cause of those sitting in the boardroom that the club haven’t really made any noises in the transfer market.
And given that they will be on a European tour next season, serious depth needs to be added to the squad, else things might just unravel.
But one way of ensuring things don’t go wrong is by securing the talents of your best players.
There’s no doubt that Coufal was perhaps the best right-back in the league during his debut campaign, so fans will understandably become frustrated if they start hearing rumours that there are problems with his contract.
