Ian Wright has backed Richarlison to come good at Tottenham Hotspur by claiming that he will ‘win games from nothing’.
The Brazil international has found life tough at Tottenham since his big-money transfer last summer, scoring only two Premier League goals and now finding himself on the bench.
The massive positive is that, during Tottenham’s stunning comeback against Sheffield United last week, it was Richarlison who came off the bench and changed the game in stoppage-time with his goal and assist.
The reaction the likes of Son Heung-min, his manager Ange Postecoglou and the fans are showing him has resulted in Ian Wright, once again, backing the player to come good, as he told Premier League Productions (25/09/23 at 2:20 pm).
The feeling was that, last season, Antonio Conte was too harsh on the player and he didn’t put his arm around his shoulder.
Well, it’s pretty obvious that Ange Postecoglou is that type of manager and Ian Wright thinks it will work in everyone’s favour.

Richarlison backing
“I still feel that we haven’t seen Richarlison’s contributions,” said Wright to the laughter of others. “That’s coming everybody.
How long have you been saying that for, the former Arsenal striker was asked: “I tell you why I say it and I say it with confidence because when you saw Son pushing him towards the fans (after Sheff Utd win) saying ‘this is the guy. Get behind him. We are going to back him’.
“He revels in the fact that, the love. Once he gets the love and the backing of those players. They trust him. The manager loves him and is managing him very, very well, then he is another piece of the puzzle to put in there that will win games out of nothing for them.”

Will Richarlison come good?
One thing is for sure, Richarlison can’t have many complaints this season because there are plenty of goals on offer.
Not only that, the support he is getting from within seems a lot deeper than what he was getting in the previous campaign.
And you also feel that the competition he is now up against should push him to try and get over that goalscoring line even further.
