Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after ESPN revealed that the Reds are open to offers for Nat Phillips this summer.
Looking at the comments, it’s safe to say Liverpool fans would be furious if the 24-year-old left Anfield.
ESPN claim that Rhys Williams could also leave, but only on loan.
Phillips has been immense this season in place of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joël Matip, to say the very least.
Liverpool’s No.47 won the Man of the Match award on his Premier League debut against West Ham, and never looked back.
Phillips made 15 Premier League starts this term, scoring once and assisting another as Liverpool finished third against all odds.

He also delivered a Man of the Match performance against RB Leipzig in the Champions League, in what was his debut in the competition.
That same month, Phillips was named as Liverpool’s Player of the Month for April – he’s been absolutely superb.
Liverpool simply have to keep Nat Phillips
In our view, Liverpool would be making a big mistake if they sold him.
We don’t know how Van Dijk, Gomez and Matip are going to cope after their long-term injuries, so it would be unwise for Jürgen Klopp to place his trust in them and offload his backup.

For example, if Phillips is sold, and the trio suffer setbacks, then Liverpool will find themselves in an even worse position.
Yes, Ibrahima Konaté is on his way, but even the Frenchman has had his share of injury issues over the years.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about ESPN‘s news…
