‘Lol this guy’: Some Arsenal fans stunned by what Arteta has just said about £30m player

Arsenal fans on Twitter cannot believe what Mikel Arteta has told his press conference today ahead of their clash against Southampton.

The under-fire Arsenal boss told Football London that the Granit Xhaka situation has been ‘resolved internally’, which has left many fans angry and annoyed.

When Nicolas Pepe was sent off for a headbutt on Gjanni Alisoki against Leeds, Arteta was pretty vocal, with the winger apologising on social media.

Added with that, Matteo Guendouzi was shipped out on loan this summer after he reacted in a similar fashion to Xhaka against Brighton last season.

Once again, the Arsenal faithful pose the question as to why Xhaka has been treated differently to others.

It’s fair to say that Arsenal’s £30 million signing [BBC Sport] has had his differences with the fans in recent times and on Sunday it was no different.

Some feel that Xhaka is one of the players that shouldn’t be starting as many games as he does, so his upcoming suspension will be a relief to those fans.
