Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira admits he’s still in contact with former bosses Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, speaking to ZDF.
With Mourinho desperate to turn a team of nearly men into cut-throat winners, who better than a man who has lifted almost every piece of silverware on offer during a storied career for club and country?
World Cup, Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga, Champions League. You name it, Khedira has won it.
And, after falling out of favour under Andrea Pirlo and failing to make a single appearance for Juve this season, Khedira admitted to Sky this month he dreams of adding the Premier League to his enviable CV before he hangs up his boots.
Football Italia, meanwhile, reports a reunion with one of his former Real Madrid bosses is on the cards, with Everton a more likely destination than Tottenham as it stands.
“There are talks (with Ancelotti and Mourinho). We never lost touch after our time together at Real Madrid,” Khedira explains.

“If there is an opportunity to move to the Premier League, that’s an option.”
Some reports suggested Juventus were looking to terminate the final few months of Khedira’s £100,000-a-week contract, having allowed Blaise Matuidi and Gonzalo Higuain to depart on free transfers during the summer.
The 33-year-old, however, has refuted those suggestions.
“There was no offer to terminate the contract. There was no talk about financial matters.”
Higuain and Matuidi may be making a name for themselves on the other side of the Atlantic these days but it seems Khedira’s European adventure has a few chapters remaining.
