Newly-appointed Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard is reportedly keen to bring Rangers star Ryan Kent with him to the Premier League side. And this could be good news for Liverpool.
According to the Daily Record, the Midlands giants are eager to raid Rangers for some of their top players who were favourites under Gerrard. With Kent top of the list for Villa heading into January.
The former Liverpool academy star joined the Scottish giants on a permanent deal in 2019. However, the Merseyside club included a 20% sell-on clause should Kent one day depart Glasgow.
Whilst it is not yet known how much Rangers value Kent, it is likely that Liverpool will receive a decent fee for their former academy star from Villa and Gerrard should a transfer happen.
Whilst Liverpool won’t receive any ridiculous, some supporters on social media are joking that any fee could go towards signing Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
The midfielder has been on Liverpool’s radar for some time. Yet the Bundesliga giants are resigned to losing Bellingham in 2022, with Erling Haaland expected to leave next year.
Liverpool fans plead Gerrard to bring Kent to Villa

Indeed, there is a strong chance that Villa could sign Kent with Gerrard now at the helm. And for Liverpool fans on social media, they are begging their former captain to make the transfer.
