Gabriel Agbonlahor raved about reported Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur target Ezri Konsa on talkSPORT (6:17pm, February 18, 2021).
The former Aston Villa striker, who now works as a pundit for talkSPORT, outlined the attributes of the defender and highlighted his pace.
According to a report in The Athletic this week, Tottenham and Liverpool are interested in signing Konsa from Premier League rivals Villa in the summer of 2021.
Agbonlahor said about Konsa on talkSPORT (6:17pm, February 18, 2021): “He is very aggressive in his defending, and he has got that pace. I have seen him out-sprint some of the quickest players in the league. If he does get turned, he has got that pace to get back and make blocks.”
Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool?
Konsa is a very good central defender who has done well for Villa in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old centre-back can still improve and get better in the coming years, and he would be a good long-term signing for Liverpool or Tottenham.

While Eric Dier is a mainstay in the Tottenham back-line, head coach Jose Mourinho has changed the other centre-back on many occasions this season.
Liverpool are not short on centre-backs when all the players are fit, but Ozan Kabak is only on loan and Joel Matip has had injury problems, so a move for Konsa would make sense, especially as he is only 23 and could get better in the long term.
