The whole of Europe have now seen what Leeds United fans have known for quite a few years.
And that is, Kalvin Phillips is a brilliant footballer.
Phillips, who came through Leeds’ academy, posted a midfield masterclass in helping England beat Croatia 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The 25-year-old also set up the goal which helped the Three Lions kick off their Euro 2020 campaign with a victory.
Every pundit was left raving about the Leeds star’s performance at full-time – including Frank Lampard.
It goes without saying that Lampard isn’t a fan of the Elland Road, after it was his Derby County side which fell victim to Marcelo Bielsa’s ‘spygate’ a few years ago.
Lampard also knocked Leeds out of the playoffs that year, denying them a Premier League promotion they would ultimately secure a year later.
The Chelsea legend isn’t a popular figure in West Yorkshire and here’s how some fans reacted to Lampard’s post-match comments about Phillips.
