Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports that Andy Robertson could have scored a hat-trick for Liverpool during their 2-0 win against Sheffield United on Sunday.
In the end, it was Curtis Jones and Roberto Firmino forcing an own goal which did the trick for the previously struggling reds.
The typically energetic Robertson got himself into a number of strong scoring positons, making late runs off the ball, but his final effort just wasn’t there at Bramall Lane.
But Klopp shared that ‘it shows’ that the creative side of Liverpool was on display yesterday.
“First half, we should have scored three times I think,” said Klopp. “Then we scored the two goals.
“I think Robbo (Robertson) could have had a hat-trick tonight so that just shows how we created, it was really, really good.
“Then the finishing, in the end, was good enough for today. But we know we can improve that, still.”

This was the Liverpool old even though it will be slightly dampened by the fact that it was against the Premier League’s bottom-of-the-table team.
The Reds needed that confidence to get going again, and whilst their front three weren’t officially on the scoresheet, there is much to sing and dance about.
Now, with Chelsea awaiting Liverpool on Thursday, and then Fulham, the champions may well be back in the top-four by the end of the week.
